My graduate project at London College of Fashion was inspired by my visit to ‘Smokey Mountain’ in the Philippines. My visit to the landfill made me become aware of the impact our disposal of clothing has on the environment, and I decided if I were to create another collection it would have to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
Re-thinking the way our everyday garments are designed and constructed, this collection comprises a range of garments which can be taken apart and worn in a variety of ways. Through the lookbook of the collection I wanted to portray how much waste goes into producing a collection and created a backdrop with all the calico samples used in this collection.
